Christa Heimann
Christa Heimann is a third year Doctor of Musical Arts student in Saxophone Performance at the University of North Texas where she is a saxophone teaching fellow. Prior to her DMA studies, she received her Master of Music from UNT in 2019, and her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Missouri State University in 2015. During her time at UNT, she performed with the North Texas Wind Symphony and can be heard on their CDs titled Hope, Noteworthy, and One For All. Along with performing in ensembles, Christa is an active solo performer. In 2019 she performed at the Region IV North American Saxophone Alliance Conference, was selected as a finalist in the Delta Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, and made her Carnegie Hall debut. Outside of performing, Christa holds a large studio of saxophone students in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Her teachers include Professor Randy Hamm and Dr. Eric Nestler.
