Jennifer Foret
Jennifer C. Foret is a distinguished saxophone player, music artist and educator. She started playing saxophone at the age of fourteen under the instruction of Wildon J. Shinn at Nicholls State University. She then received her Bachelor of Music Education degree and Bachelor of Music degree from Louisiana State University with Griffin Campbell as her saxophone professor, and her Master of Music degree from the Pennsylvania State University with David Stambler as her primary saxophone professor and academic advisor.
Jennifer has extensive experience performing nationally and internationally with hundreds of appearances performed in over 10 countries. In addition, she teaches masterclasses at various universities throughout the United States and abroad. She is a founding member of Quartetto Obrigado, a saxophone quartet based in Louisiana founded together with Griffin Campbell, professor of saxophone at Louisiana State University; Taylor Barbay, professor of saxophone at Nicholls State University; and Brina Bourlia, saxophone instructor at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Furthermore, Jennifer teaches gifted young musicians through the Gifted and Talented Arts Program with St. Tammany School Board and offers a variety of private music lessons for students of all ages and musical levels. She accompanies her students throughout their musical career to ensure they reach their full potential. In fact, many of Jennifer’s students are participants at Brevard Music Center; semifinalists at the North American Saxophone Alliance High School Competition; and are consistently placed in top ensembles in the Louisiana Music Educators Association All State Bands and Solo and Ensemble Festivals.
