Arianna Beasley is a Junior at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) working towards a degree in Jazz and Commercial Studies in saxophone and voice. A native of Henderson, Nevada, Arianna participated in a variety of major performances as a member of the Foothill High School bands where she marched in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (2014) and the Tournament of Roses Parade (2017), premiered a piece by Anthony LaBounty in Carnegie Hall (2014), performed in the Regional Essentially Ellington Festivals hosted at BYU and UNLV (2017), and is a recipient of the Louis Armstrong Jazz award. She was an All-State Command Performance Classical Soloist Finalist in 2017 and performed in All State Band ensembles (2016, 2017, 2018). In addition she participated in a variety of community based marching band performances including: opening a Rascal Flatt’s performance at the Hard Rock Café (2015), opening the City Henderson Little League season (2016), and performing saxophone and vocals at the CCSD Orff Festival (2017/2018 school year). Arianna participated in the Inaugural NSA Summer Jazz Intensive and is currently a member of the Social Media Team for the Jazz Outreach Initiative managed by Kenny Rampton.
Arianna is proficient in flute and saxophone and during her tenure at UNLV she has performed as a background vocalist for UNLV’s Latin Jazz Ensemble’s Passerby and Latin Journey V album and helped to premier UNLV’s first All-Female Geri Allen Jazz Combo. She currently studies under Professors Adam Schroeder, Dr Shawna Pennock, Nathan Tanouye, Dave Loeb, Uli Geissendoerfer, and JoBelle Yonely. When she’s not playing, Arianna can be found teaching saxophone, flute and clarinet to middle school and high school students, running, or humming along to old jazz standards.
