Specific responsibilities between December and May would include:
- Scheduling meetings with your assigned mentee 1-2 times per month for 45 minutes and overseeing/mentoring them in the creation and implementation of their community-focused projects (mentee assignments will be based upon the interests/specialties of the mentees and mentors and we will consult with you once we have received applications)
- Being available via text/email/phone call for any additional questions or concerns the mentee may have beyond these scheduled online meetings
- Participating in the CGE hosted dialogue/meet up sessions, as you are available (3- 4 sessions will be held over the duration of the program but you may participate in as many as you are able)
- Host one guided online workshop or clinic (30 min-1 hour) on a topic of your choosing or area of specialization designed just for the mentees in this program (this can be anything from a traditional masterclass to a presentation on military band careers, running a non-profit, working in the music industry, soloing in a big band, instrument repair, etc.)
- If you will be attending a regional or national NASA Conference, the CGE Mentoring Program events will invite you to attend special events and presentations.
